Kansas politicians on the Hamas attack on Israel

On Saturday, October 7, Israel was attacked by Hamas terrorists, finding themselves in a war. Kansas politicians have weighed in on the terrorist attacks on their respective social medias and newsletters. This is what they’re saying:

“On behalf of the Kansas Senate, I ask you to join all of us in praying for Israel,” Kansas Senate President Ty Masterson posted to social media. “Let there be no equivocation: We stand with Israel as they defend their nation and freedom in the Middle East against the Hamas terrorists and other evil actors who are responsible for the terrorist attacks.”

“Please join me in praying for our Middle Eastern, democratic ally Israel,” Kansas Speaker of the House Dan Hawkins posted to social media. “We solidly stand with Israel as they defend their freedom against the Hamas terrorists and all who have supported them in these unprovoked and horrific attacks.”

The terrorists who attacked Israel hate America too. We must stand with our friends in Israel and recognize that the United States is a target as well.

Iran is backing Hamas terrorists as they wage an evil war on America’s strongest ally in the Middle East.

“I am praying for our friend Israel and its right to defend itself,” U.S. Rep. Tracey Mann (R-KS 1) posted on social media.

Mann continued, “America stands with Israel, our only democratic ally in the Middle East. We must continue to support Israel, condemn attacks on Israel’s sovereignty like the recent Hamas-led attacks, and hold the Biden Administration accountable for its continued deals with those who support Hamas and other terrorist groups.”

U.S. Rep. Ron Estes (R-KS 4) released a newsletter on Sunday, October 8 condemning the attacks, referring to the images as “truly shocking and horrifying.” He went after President Biden in his statement.

“…The more we learn about these devastating attacks that have killed and injured hundreds of innocent lives, the more it becomes clear that President Biden’s foreign policy is failing,” Rep. Estes wrote.

He continued by pointing out “Biden’s weakness on the world stage,” giving the example of “unfreezing the $6 billion in ‘humanitarian’ assets of Hammas-backer Iran,” calling it a “stark contrast” to work done by the previous administration.

“With destabilizing crises around the globe, the Biden administration appears to be asleep at the wheel, once again,” Rep. Estes wrote. “It’s critical to affirm today that the United States unequivocally stands with our ally Israel.”

I am appalled by Hamas’s attacks on Israel.

Updates on the attacks are continuing to come in. As of this writing on Sunday, October 8, reporting has shown that more than 1,100 lives have been lost and Iran is denying any involvement in the attacks.
