U.S. Sen. Marshall releases statement on House Impeachment Inquiry into President Joe Biden
On Tuesday, September 12, Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-California) announced he is directing the U.S. House to open an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden ahead of the 2024 election.
U.S. Sen. Roger Marshall, M.D. (R-Kansas) provided the following statement regarding the issue:
“The Biden family has demonstrated a long history and culture of corruption. We know when there’s smoke, there’s fire. The American people deserve to know if the president of the United States is compromised, and I look forward to a full investigation and its findings. As the House of Representatives dismantles the Biden Crime Family, I remain laser-focused on fighting back against Joe Biden’s failed leadership that has caused skyrocketing inflation, soaring energy costs, a historic border crisis, and so much more.”
This comes after Sen. Marshall joined the ‘Evening Edit’ to talk about President Biden in regard to his actions recently taken during 9/11, saying President Biden is “out of touch” and “not fit to lead,” pointing out his mental and physical decline.
Nevertheless, Democrats have been pushing back on the inquiry. The White House called it “extreme politics at its worst.”
House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-New York) called it an “illegitimate impeachment inquiry” and said Democrats will defend Biden “until the very end.”
